Now Enrolling
for Fall 2026

We never want parents to feel pressured to choose a childcare center based solely on affordability. We want you to choose a center they truly love. Due to this, a matched tuition rate equal to any group childcare center in Merrimack will be honored. (Yearly increases will be applied in September)

The year before Kindergarten
About Our Classroom
Welcome to our Pre-K Classroom, where little learners become confident leaders, curious thinkers, and enthusiastic students ready for their next big adventure — Kindergarten!
Our Pre-K Classroom is thoughtfully designed for 4-year-old children who will be entering Kindergarten the following school year. This exciting stage of early childhood education focuses on strengthening academic foundations, developing independence, building meaningful friendships, and preparing children for a successful transition into elementary school.
At this age, children are eager to learn, ask questions, solve problems, and take on new challenges. Our classroom provides a nurturing, engaging, and structured environment where children can develop the confidence and skills they need to thrive in Kindergarten and beyond.
Our dedicated teachers create a balance of purposeful instruction, hands-on exploration, and play-based learning. We recognize that every child develops at their own pace, and we provide individualized support while encouraging children to reach their fullest potential.
Our goal is to help every child leave Pre-K feeling confident, capable, independent, and excited to begin Kindergarten!
Learning Through Exploration & Kindergarten Preparation

A Day in Our Pre-K Classroom
Our days are filled with exciting learning opportunities, creativity, friendship, and discovery!
Children participate in a thoughtful balance of teacher-guided instruction, small-group activities, independent exploration, and purposeful play.
Our daily experiences include morning meetings, calendar and weather discussions, literacy and phonics activities, early math instruction, handwriting practice, science exploration, creative art, music and movement, outdoor play, and hands-on learning centers.
As children prepare for Kindergarten, we gradually introduce longer group activities, more structured learning experiences, and increased opportunities for independent work.
We encourage children to ask questions, participate in discussions, complete activities, work cooperatively with classmates, and take pride in their accomplishments.
While Kindergarten preparation is an important focus, we believe that learning should always remain engaging, meaningful, and fun!
Building Strong Academic Foundations
Our Pre-K curriculum focuses on introducing and strengthening the foundational skills children will use throughout their educational journey.
Through engaging, developmentally appropriate activities, children are encouraged to:
-
Recognize and name uppercase and lowercase letters.
-
Identify common letter sounds and explore early phonics.
-
Recognize and write their first name.
-
Develop proper pencil grip and early handwriting skills.
-
Recognize numbers and practice counting and number correspondence.
-
Identify shapes, colors, patterns, and basic mathematical concepts.
-
Understand story sequences and retell familiar stories.
-
Recognize rhyming words and beginning sounds.
-
Follow multistep directions and complete age-appropriate tasks.
-
Develop problem-solving, reasoning, and critical-thinking skills.
We understand that children enter Kindergarten with different strengths and abilities. These goals guide our teaching, but children are never expected to master every skill at the same pace.
Our focus is on building a strong foundation, encouraging a love of learning, and helping each child feel successful.
Growing Independence & Classroom Responsibility
Kindergarten brings exciting new expectations, and our Pre-K Classroom helps children develop the independence needed to navigate them confidently.
Throughout the year, children practice managing their belongings, completing classroom responsibilities, following daily schedules, and transitioning between activities with increasing independence.
Our teachers encourage children to make choices, solve problems, ask for help when needed, and take responsibility for their actions.
We also focus on important everyday skills such as independently using the bathroom, washing hands, putting on coats, organizing personal items, and caring for classroom materials.
Through consistent routines and positive encouragement, children develop confidence in their ability to do things for themselves.
Building Friendships & Emotional Confidence
We believe that social and emotional readiness is just as important as academic preparation for Kindergarten.
Our Pre-K Classroom provides opportunities for children to develop meaningful friendships, strengthen communication skills, and learn how to work cooperatively with others.
Our teachers help children practice:
-
Expressing feelings and needs appropriately.
-
Listening to others and respecting different perspectives.
-
Sharing materials and taking turns.
-
Resolving conflicts through communication and problem-solving.
-
Demonstrating kindness, empathy, and respect.
-
Participating confidently in group activities.
-
Developing patience, flexibility, and resilience.
-
Building confidence when trying new or challenging tasks.
We encourage children to understand that making mistakes is a natural part of learning and that perseverance helps us grow.
Kindergarten Readiness: Preparing for the Next Big Step
Our Pre-K Classroom is the final stepping stone before children begin their elementary school journey.
Throughout the year, we intentionally introduce experiences that help children become familiar with the routines, responsibilities, and expectations of Kindergarten.
Our Kindergarten Readiness Goals
Academic Readiness
Building early literacy, phonics, writing, math, and critical-thinking skills.
Social Readiness
Developing friendships, cooperation, communication, and positive peer relationships.
Emotional Readiness
Building confidence, resilience, self-regulation, and healthy emotional expression.
Independent Readiness
Practicing self-help skills, classroom routines, personal responsibility, and independence.
We introduce Kindergarten-style experiences such as classroom jobs, independent learning tasks, group projects, following classroom schedules, and practicing transitions.
As the school year progresses, children are encouraged to take greater ownership of their learning and demonstrate increased independence.
We want every child to feel proud of how much they have grown and excited about the new opportunities waiting for them in Kindergarten.
Exploring Nature & the World Around Us
We believe that the natural world provides endless opportunities for discovery, creativity, and learning.
Our Pre-K Classroom incorporates nature-inspired experiences that encourage children to explore, investigate, ask questions, and develop an appreciation for the environment.
Through outdoor adventures, gardening, seasonal studies, weather observations, nature collections, and hands-on science investigations, children strengthen observation skills, critical thinking, and curiosity.
These experiences also provide opportunities to connect early literacy, math, science, and creative expression to real-world learning.
We encourage children to become curious thinkers who are excited to explore and understand the world around them.
Celebrating Our Pre-K Graduates!
One of the most exciting parts of our Pre-K program is celebrating the incredible growth and accomplishments of our students as they prepare for Kindergarten!
Throughout the year, we recognize each child's progress, celebrate important milestones, and encourage pride in their achievements.
As the school year comes to an end, our Pre-K students have the opportunity to celebrate their transition into Kindergarten with a special graduation experience.
This celebration recognizes not only their academic growth but also their developing independence, friendships, confidence, and personal accomplishments.
Our Pre-K graduates leave with more than academic skills — they leave with wonderful memories, meaningful friendships, growing confidence, and excitement for the future!
Our Promise to Families
We understand that the year before Kindergarten is an important and emotional milestone for both children and families.
Our goal is to provide a warm, welcoming, and academically engaging environment where every child feels safe, respected, supported, and inspired to learn.
We believe in strong partnerships with families through open communication, individualized attention, and a shared commitment to each child's development.
Our teachers work to ensure that children are not only building the academic foundations needed for Kindergarten but are also developing the confidence, independence, and social-emotional skills necessary for a successful transition.
